a lot of thinking burnt away...flying thoughts could catch up the heat and the paintings an inspiration for the blueye way...cool on the other hand...as simplicity concentrates on the meaning...I like this place although I could not stay alone there for a long time...as nature seems outside.

  4. I like what I'm seeing here. And I really like that they show an unexpected visual direction (so kudo's to Donwood (and Tchoch) for not just giving what's expected - and for moving forwards (perhaps just playing with it?)instead of dwelling on other people's "perception" of Radiohead based on their visuals on previous records).

I know it's just a teaser, but still I'm glad to see how it's coming along, and nicely uplifted by the choice of coulors and subjects (those houses look like empty shells in a landscape lit by cold light and ice, but with the fire only so far away. Like a ragnerok crawling just on the edge of the horizon).

I'm definitely looking forward to see how everything will turn out. And I'm guessing - based on the pictures- that it's not endlessly far away.

And I envy his study. -Damn you, Mister Donwood!

That one in the center is incredible. So dramatic...

It looks a quite creepy place.. but I guess creepy is good if you are Stanley Donwood and you are searching for some kind of inspiration.

I get the feeling that we are getting very close to some important announcements.... Like we are right on the cusp of learning things like a title and release date.

  8. I really doubt it. I mean, if the release will be in the fall (assuming that's true), and they might not have signed with a record label, they might have to get all the legal stuff done before they can say what the name of the album and release date is... unless they're doing it on their own label.

he doesn't strike me as ostentatious. the space seems apropo to its use. perhaps he is a man of simple needs?

  11. I would rather work in a place like the one in the photo than some modern and sterile environment. I also wouldn't want to worry about the mess from the paints staining anything. A place to be completely free.
