Maybe the March wax thing is about the release date through an actual label for the two CDs next year. Apparently they're negotiating a deal at the moment, or in talks with different labels. I'm glad they popped this one on us, though, since they still stand to make more on the downloads than if it were part of a label agreement, and then the special set is so worth it. :-)
i think it'll just be one cd. after all the big deal with not going with itunes was wanting albums sold as a whole, so the tracks on the download/cd1 are the proper album, and the tracks on cd2 aren't.
Yes, I think you're right, keir. The second CD is more of a bonus for the people who buy the discbox. It wouldn't really make sense to sell it by itself, and as it's not a double album, it also probably wouldn't make sense to sell it packaged with CD1. It's not just songs, also, but photos and artwork. Nice. :-D
In case didn't notice: SPECTRUM is what has been written on www.radiohead.com before you enter Dead Air Space (like once 'Hiding in the woods' or something was there). I think it was about the time they began the worm buffet-thing it changed to SPECTRUM - the title of this HD.
creo que hace mucho tiempo que no estaba tan contenta..si contenta, aunque ninguno de ustedes lo crea...y es super importante lo que inspiran a la gente...yo lo valoro mucho, por eso los quiero... para siempre chicos
Ive just bought the discbox today! And I'm so excited, Probably when it arrive I will be the happiest man on earth, or at least from my block. Thanks for that. By the way, is pretty amazing what you have done... who needs big records labels? enough of that corporation bullshit.. we just want to listen to good music.
I get what you're saying about 'being cheap' and paying $00.00 for In Rainbows, cos it is worth much more than that. But there are also people like me who can't afford to pay much at all or who are paying for the Discbox set and can't afford to pay any extra on top of that. I've payed 91 dollars for the discbox and i can't afford any more for the download. and I'm not really being cheap, i'm just working within my financial bounds. but i get your point :) i can't wait til it's sent to my computer!!! awesome :D and the discox...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh :D

Thank you guys!!! i'd very loved the album in rainbows i'm from chile, so it's very difficult for me buy a record by internet....you make me so happy with this way of download!!!.... i hope i would see you soon! ... goodbye.... miiiika. (sorry for my bad english...XD!)
Who knows? Weird Fishee (the main operator to whom I owe a big thank you for collecting and gathering, so I too could enjoy the creative ride even though I've been away here and there and everywhere) might know.
I think the site should be allowed to just stay put - especially since we'll see some artwork (and lyrics!) in December, and then I reckon it will be quite interesting to browse through these pages and see from where they grew (or just what absurd and less liked siplings those artistic ideas had).
Thanks Radiohead, and thank Weird Fishee for the good work. It's been very appreciated... though I hope it'll continue some how (a "Picture-a-Day" tour blog, mister collectively Radiohead?).
:D:D:D oh yes
ReplyDeletein red blue green, red blue green.... :-)

Well, I'm just glad we were wrong. Maybe one day we'll know all the details about all this mysterious, cryptic stuff going on.
ReplyDeleteSomeone said I screamed when I saw the tracklist. I don't even remember. I'm still in a daze. :-D
its all over the news! great news! im so excited!
ReplyDeleteI sat down with a bowl of breakfast cerial, went to rh.com, then pointed at the screen and said "aaaarh!" a few times until my mum asked what was up.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, do you know the Wormbuffet side panel has the wrong symbol for z? The hands should be up and there shouldn't be a mouth.
Also,
MARCH WAX ????
Not that it matters now.

ReplyDeletei don't think the hodiaus are finished, i think they're just neglecting it
ReplyDeleteoh btw, i notice that morph.swf is back on the front rather then the quickmenu that replaced it early on - less server demand now presumably.
