  5. yeah something like that...i just ask myself the question if men receive these messages in a different way...the tower remains me on the fairy tail "Rapunzel"...a princess caught in a tower...she had very long hair to help the prince climbing up to rescue her...so the tower...ca´n be a pretty scary place...in what time is the tinking tower and where? I am just imagining a princess in a middle age tower with .?.?. hair putting on some sunglasses... and then starring into the sky which turns into a sea of sparkling stars comming to you...you are within there actually...and they journey start and your travelling...always to the light and it never comes closer:) the door is closed...in the tower i mean?...there is no door...it is just our imagination...the princess could be also in the garden of eden...seeing the rainbows and the sparkling above her...
is it possible that woman ve got a warmer imagination than men ...the natural selection...who has the shinest imagination...:) ooops...laughing...well, sometimes i like to drift away...as you do.

  7. 'The one you're looking for' ("Analyse"). 'Throw your coin into a cup' reminds me of 'you throw coins in a wishing well'. Even though those two lines are similar to lines Thom used in his album, these lyrics are really, really nice. The references to a bright light and rapture make me think of the light vs. dark references in a lot of Thom's lyrics. The lyrics seem to be about finding this light, but then there's the idea of 'easy come, easy go' and 'poof... the light is gone'.

  8. yeah, the chord progresion is really weird (in a good way, i mean...)and the lyrics are just great "comes instantly in powder form, it goes as quickly as it arrive" i love that side of radiohead, when there's humour and at the same time and idea underneath, like a wolf at the door, it always makes me laugh :). maybe it's about the "easy way" of things (in some way of how we always try to take advantage of everything), how we just lock ourselves into a tower waiting for the meteor shower, waiting for this " Rapture " to happen. But we should await until we hear the final, and complete, lyrics before we start making conclusions.

also a proof that we've not seen all of lp7 in the tour (wich i hope will be mainly composed of NEW new songs).

  10. 'Finding the light'... another way of looking at it. And how it can be within our sight but we still have to take the steps to get to it... or take flight.
Yeah, if these are indeed lyrics, they can mean many different things.

  13. No. I don't get that they are terrifying. It seems like there is a progression from the darkness onto the light in the songs we've heard (or got the lyrics for). And in some of the songs the narrator is in the 'dark', but he is progressing toward the light. It seems, to me, that in "Videotape" he is finally reaching out for the light... taking the 'leap of faith', but he doesn't know yet whether he will end up going to heaven (on earth, is how I interpret it) or hell (on earth as well). In these lyrics the narrator appears to be getting closer to the point where he will actually be able to face the light, but he is not there yet, which is why he's putting on his sunglasses. It's still too bright for him at this point, but he can get a short glimpse of it, and every time he does (every time he sees the meteor shower), he is able to put another coin in his cup. Once it is full, and he can see the light for an extended period, he will go for it. :-)
Well, that's one way of looking at all this.
