I have seen them.. its so sad. Its sad because most of that people risk their lives because they have a wrong idea of how is the life in US, they think is going to be much better. After they get there they get alienated and end working in depressing conditions by people that know their situation. I guess the american dream its not so appealing anymore.
Yes, but some of them don't do it out of choice but because they can't make enough money in their own country to feed their families. They just come here to work and send money back to their families. I think it's about survival, so the risks they taking crossing the border are not a choice. They have no other option.
thats why the government of US/Mexico have to create as soon as possible an inmmigration law that benefit as much as possible both parts. Because illegal inmigration is boosting every side of their economies, at more expenses for one side than the other - risking their lives.
It's a humanitarian move on the government's part to at least place a child in that image. Most undocumented workers leave their families behind, so it's not representative, I think, of facts, but there is the implication that these human beings also have families to support so I think that was a good move on their part.
intended to depress children and give them longstanding emotional problems that may linger into adulthood
ReplyDeletethis is from the cover of Department of Reclusive Paranoia book, is it not ???

ReplyDeleteThese signs warn for illegal immigrant crossing along the 5 freeway in California, close to a checking point just north of San Diego.
