Could this be realted to that Ecuadorian town that's currently in the news for being right next to an about-to-erupt volcano? It seems to be tied up in issues of political turmoil in the country....Just a thought.
this one is awesome. I think it is a good indicator of what themes / ideas we can expect from the album or ep's or whatever it is that they decide to release.
1) The end of suburbia at the hands of uncontrollable forces (ie. weather, natural phenomenon, depletion of oil, etc) - This is indictated by the "down is the new up" houses coming to an abrupt end at the base of the volcano / mountains.
2) A global context for the album indicated by the weather map of Europe / Newfoundland in the background
3) Large sinister looking structures (represented by mountains) overlooking all that is within our society, and threatening to end it all
wild (and frenchy) guess : there's an obvious star on Paris on the map. If it is what I think it could be, now, well, I can say it IS right ... and this is wrong, and bad ... in all aspects

ReplyDeleteThe picture conveys the idea of civilization at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius (ie: Pompeii before disaster)...
