At the risk of sounding like a smug idiot, I always thought/hoped Thom sang 'In the reeds'. So i'll admit to feeling a certain 'thrill' when i saw this.
The image itself isn't exactly mind-bogglingly great, but it makes me pleased that 'All I Need' is still around for them... Definitely one of my favourite new tracks.
Ughh I really hate these sort of line drawings that doesn't require much artistic skill to conjure up. Stanley is really pulling shit out of his ass now to fill in the gap. Aren't we fools for following it for so long?
allowing "what" for so long? These daily dispatches aren't aimed at us. It's not like stanley sits before the computer and muses to himself wondering what we might like, lol. perhaps you need to step away from the computer and gain some perspective?
some of the comments here are becoming an embarrassment. curiosity and human nature dictate that both stan and thom probably check in here occassionally. i chose not to sign my name t posts as to not be associated with some of this nonsense. shame too, because i was initally so excited to discuss their art.
I agree. If someone doesn't like what they are posting in the daily Hodiau Direkton, they should feel free not to look at them anymore. Or maybe keep their comments to themselves. When did they say they would only post finished artwork or songs? Don't remember reading that.
The only reason a person might lie in reeds is to perhaps hunt (hide) for water fowl. Reeds grow in specific marshy areas -- you'd be totally wet by lying in them. Aligators, on the other hand, regularly lie in reeds -- that's their habitat and they use the reeds to hide in while they hunt for prey. The reeds of the Nile River are another thought -- perhaps the baby Moses floating down the river in a basket? Dunno...But "Lying in the reeds" is a curious title for that piece.
Line from "All I Need"? I think most of us thought it was 'lying in the leaves'.
ReplyDeletealbum cover for sure
ReplyDeletealright stop it with the album cover shit. I've had just about enough of it. har har
ReplyDeleteLooks like a duck who's just been shot falling from the sky. The duck hunter must have been lying await in the reeds.

so beautiful and delicate. Even if i don't think it's part of the artwork, it's a really nice little drawing.

ReplyDeleteearthquake lyrics
ReplyDeleteLooks like a zoom-in of crystals or something, minus the color.
ReplyDeleteDoes 'lying in the reeds' imply hiding?
